Cinema 16 w/ Bone Conductors

My published Flavorpill post:
With only 15 surviving shorts, the name Charles Bowers doesn't exactly resonate. But from these scant pickings, this much can be ascertained: The cartoonist/comedian possessed a far-out imagination that reached the loony, lunar realms of Georges Méliès. This edition of Cinema 16 happens to set those two cinemagicians' inventive stop-action shorts — as well as avant-garde doyenne Maya Deren's Meshes of the Afternoon — to the mechanized sounds of Nick Yulman's man-and-machines outfit, the Bone Conductors. With Bowers' surrealist flourishes, be primed for anything from elaborate, do-all doodads to an iron-stomached fowl whose kooky egg yields a whole, ready-to-roll automobile.
